Meet Dr. Nordlund
Dr. Nordlund was born and raised in Tacoma and attended the University of Washington both for his undergraduate degree in chemistry, magna cum laude, and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery with honors.
After graduating from dental school in 1976, he worked in the US Public Health Service for two and a half years before starting his private practice in Renton in 1979. In 1994, he moved his office to the current Tukwila location.
Dr. Nordlund strongly believes in continuing dental education and usually takes twice as many hours as the state requires for licensure. He has attended the Pankey Institute in Florida. He has taught restorative dentistry part-time in the Department of Prosthodontics at the University of Washington dental school since 1979. Teaching is a calling for him, and he probably would have been a teacher if he had not become a dentist.
On the personal side, Dr. Nordlund enjoys golf, and plays one or two times a week throughout the year. He also enjoys fishing, attending high school sports events, and spending time with his wife Liz and their golden retrievers in their garden.
